"Breaking Barriers"- Women in Police Services in India and the United States of America

My book "Breaking Barriers" is a comparative study of women police officers in India and the United States of America. It deals with issues at a broader level and talks about the power of womanhood in the present scenario. This book is also about the courage and strength in the changing times. From "Breaking Barriers" to sharing their experiences, this book attempts to unravel mysteries surrounding women's overall empowerment issues. This book is not just for women aspiring to join the law enforcement but also to help women keep pace with the changing world.

The foreword of this book is written by the first women police officer of India Dr. Kiran Bedi. Her foreword is a big boost to my efforts and is an acknowledgement of the tremendous work women cops are doing every day. read more...

The motivation behind the comparison of women cops in United States of America and India is; my motherland India where I grew up and United States of America where I live today. The geographical, cultural, educational and professional exposure of these two countries and my PHD research topic, "Women in Police Services; A Comparison & Contrast between India and United States" acted as the backbone of this book.

It is very encouraging to see lady officers in different countries ready to execute their responsibilities with great care & diligence. The growth of women in police and armed services show the courageous thoughts, dynamic personalities and empowerment of women.
