This is a new development in the German women police protection- bullet proof bras. Women police officers on the front line in Germany are provided with three of these bras for their complete protection. These bras will stop the plastic and metal parts of woman’s underwear to enter into their flesh when hit by bullets. Three thousand front-line women police officers in Germany are now required to wear the bras on duty. A policewoman who tested this underwear said – “These can save someone's life, so it's not a laughing matter." These safety bras will very soon be introduced in Britain. These bras are an additional measure for safety. Comfort is an important concern for women in selecting their underwear, especially, if they have to wear it everyday. If this bullet proof underwear is accepted by women cops, then it could be a good area of growth for underwear and fashion industry. The target can be any woman who needs additional protection. Just like different types of cars- sports, luxury, utility etc. there can be different varieties of bullet proof bras too. This idea can be used by the fashion industry to create a new niche.

This is a great step towards women police protection. This advancement should be made mandatory worldwide.
When it comes to safety, I don't think comfort will play a decisive role in the success of bullet proof bras. It is most likely that women cops will become used to wearing it.
