Dr. Peter Chi, a Tracy, California based cosmetic surgeon is accused of sexual battery.. According to Tracy police authorities, Dr. Chi sexually abused 8 patients who were sedated for liposuction and other cosmetic surgeries. It has been reported that 16 more women have come forward with their complaints. Dr. Chi has posted a $100,000 bail and surrendered his passport.
It is hard to believe that people in such responsible and noble professions misuse their positions. It is shocking to hear such cases against doctors, who are supposed to give second lives to their patients. Tracy police said "It's devastating to think that a member of the community, especially a doctor, would do something like that.” Detective Nate Cogburn said “It's difficult to comprehend, especially for a patient, especially for a community. People don't want to believe that a doctor would sexually abuse them or commit a crime against them.” Extensive investigations are being carried out to unmask this case.
Defective products attorneys have shown their concern about this issue and said that police are still looking for more victims. Illinois truck accident lawyers have said that if there are more victims they should come forward and file complaints against him. Victims will get justice, if their accusations are proved.
“Women in Police Services” deals with women police, crimes, criminals and issues related with the law enforcement system. I want my readers to be aware of the types of crime problems people are facing across the world and the steps taken by police officers to reduce them.
