The case against attorney Dan Murdock describes that in a marriage function, the attorney invited a woman to a lonely suite, pulled down her strapless top and bit her breast. She was seen crying and claimed a sexual battery law suit. What surprised me most was the public reaction. Very few people supported the woman. When I was reading the news article, I had the same feeling. I put myself in her place and thought what I would have done in such a situation? I would have shouted, asked for people’s help or tried to hit the 62 year old attorney. The second thought that came into my mind was that few women have a different way of reacting. They get shocked by this type of situation and react later. In such circumstances the first reaction is crying.
The public response (most of them) for this article declared the woman being wrong because she accepted the invitation to go to a lonely suite with the attorney and didn’t shout for help. She was instead seen crying. My opinion was very similar- isn’t it unrealistic to accept an attorney’s invitation to visit a lonely place but at the same time not expect a malicious behavior. Do you have sympathy for the women or feel she should have known about the consequences once the attorney took her to a lonely suite? Was she telling the truth or trying to spoil the image of the reputed attorney? At times, can being physically weak become a woman’s strength?
